Copyright & Fair Use
Last updated: January 2025
Our approach
Moonwalk Archive respects the intellectual property of others. Michael Jackson’s music, recordings, films, artwork and photographs are owned by their respective rights holders. We do not host audio files, we do not reproduce full lyrics, we do not re-host video, and we do not copy articles from other publishers.
Commentary, criticism and education
The written content on this site — biographies, song and album write-ups, analysis and stories — is original commentary, criticism and historical documentation. Titles, names and brief factual references are used for identification and discussion. This is consistent with the principles of fair use / fair dealing for commentary and education.
Images and media
We aim to use only images we have created, images we have licensed, or public-domain material, each with appropriate attribution. Where video is shown, it is embedded from the official platform (for example, an official YouTube channel) rather than downloaded and re-hosted.
Takedown requests
If you are a rights holder and believe that material on this site infringes your copyright, please contact us at hello@moonwalkarchive.com with:
- Your name and the rights you hold.
- The specific URL(s) and a description of the material in question.
- A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised.
We review every valid request promptly and will remove or amend material where appropriate.
Our own content
The original editorial writing, design and code of Moonwalk Archive are the property of the archive. Please do not republish our articles wholesale; short quotations with a link back are welcome.
